Welcome to the 117th PNGA Women's Amateur Championship!

 

CHAMPIONSHIP DETAILS

Eligibility: Entries are open to amateur golfers who are female and who: (a) are members in good standing of a PNGA member club; and (b) have a USGA Handicap Index or Golf Canada Handicap Factor not exceeding 12.4 at the close of entry. 

A limited number of Presidential Exemptions will be extended to qualified individuals outside of the PNGA territory. Individuals seeking a Presidential Exemption must submit a resume to the PNGA (scotty.crouthamel@thepnga.org), outlining their major golfing accomplishments by June 1, 2018.


Lodging: Special group lodging rates are available HERE. Reservations must be made online. Cutoff date is June 8, 2018.

 

Format: The championship will be conducted in two stages:

 

Stroke Play – All players must complete the 36-hole stroke play qualifying in order to determine the 32 players who will advance to match play. In the event of a tie for the final qualifying spot(s), a sudden-death playoff will be used to determine the qualifier(s). In the event of a tie for the Qualifying Medalist, a sudden-death playoff will commence.

Match Play – The General Numerical Draw will be in effect. Single elimination match play with a 36-hole Championship Match. Contestants will play two 18-hole matches (if you continue to win) Wednesday and Thursday, with a 36-hole Championship Match on Friday.

Age Limit: No age limit

Handicap Limit: Entrants must have a USGA Handicap Index or Golf Canada Handicap Factor of 12.4 or less.

Field Limit: 48. The field will be comprised of the lowest 48 USGA Handicap Indexes or Golf Canada Handicap Factors at the close of entry, in addition to exemptions and Presidential Invitees. Note: The PNGA reserves the right to modify the field limits in conjunction with the PNGA Women's Mid-Amateur Championship to attain a total field size of 96.

Entry Fee: $200.00 (U.S. Funds)

Entry Deadline: June 18, 2018 at 4:30 p.m. (PDT) 

Entry Includes: Guaranteed at least two rounds of championship play, one hosted practice round, warm up range balls each day, tee prize, lunch following round two play, and Kusak crystal for top-finishers.

  • Champion earns an exemption into the 118th PNGA Women's Amateur Championship to be played in July of 2019.
